Hollywood plot:

This was a very common technique that is almost forgotten. It’s recipe, containing many secret formulas "is lost." And, of course, there is only a very small group of self - taught artists who can solve the mystery and re-discover everything all over again.

Russian plot:

Hundreds of Russian artists have been using this very common technique for centuries in their "concentration camp style" studios. Their only hope to switch to oils and acrylics is that the economy somehow will stabilize and they will start receiving their salaries in currency, not in eggs.
